Tripadvisor is a fantastic independent travel review site that is a must for anyone planning a vacation.

With so many holiday and bookings options online it can be very confusing and difficult to select a vacation or hotel to suit your needs. All websites are designed to show vacations and hotels at their best when the reality can be very different. Reading reviews from people who have been there can be helpful to get an honest account of the hotel, service and the location.

For example not many hotels will admit they are right next to the main highway or under the flight path of the local airport.

From flights to hotels and restaurants you can read unbiased reviews from fellow travelers. It is great if you know where you want to go or even if you are just looking for inspiration for your next trip.

If you are like me and unsure of where you want to go on vacation, then Tripadvisor is a great way to help narrow down the choice. I read articles about different destinations and found exactly the right place for me.

You cannot book directly through Tripadvisor, however the site provides links to reputable online booking services.

Writing a review on Tripadvisor is very simple and once you have registered you can log in at anytime and give your own review of services, and locations. I did.
