Having had an urgent need to make an unplanned emergency trip recently, I was referred by a friend to www.lastminute.com. I am still wondering how such a goldmine of a website could have existed without my knowledge for so long.

I am still not sure which was most surprising to me: the ease with which I was able to navigate the website and quickly make my reservations; the cheap prices despite my lateness; or the actual reliability of the service. I should share that while I was specifically looking for cheap accommodation this time around, I was also offered the option of high-end, luxury hotels. To say I was pleased with the service would be an understatement, and I have no doubt other users will have similar tales to tell.

After the first time I used lastminute.com, I have ended up using them a few more times for smaller trips and have yet to be disappointed. It turns out that their site covers a wide array of things from booking theater tickets or buying gifts to finally planning that dream holiday you’ve been thinking about.

What to do, where to go, how to get there and at reasonable costs, are all questions that lastminute.com answers for people on a daily basis, making them experts on all the ins and outs of the travel and hospitality business. Having been in the business for many years doesn’t hurt either!
