Tate Modern

As an art lover, I have waited for something that could help me elevate my passion. When I discovered Tate, I fulfilled that dream of mine.

Tate is an organization which accommodates British Art, International Modern Art and Contemporary Art that are of United Kingdom’s possession. Basically, Tate has four galleries: Tate Liverpool, Tate St. Ives, Tate Modern and Tate Britain. The big four are united in their mission to impart to the people the enjoyment of art.

British Museum

The British Museum is something you should definitely not wait until your last day in London to do. Just the architecture of the building alone could take at least half of a visit. It’s an imposing and regal structure from the outside, but awe-inspiring once you are inside. The vaulted ceilings and amazing use of light are works of art in and of themselves. With another collection, or in another location, the building might outshine the exhibits, but not here.

Victorian and Albert Museum

Visiting the Victorian and Albert Museum was a great experience for my family and me. There was something for all of us to enjoy. For the children, the visit helped add a dimension of fun to learning about history. In fact, the reason we went there in the first place was to help my daughter with her history project in school. It turned out to be more enjoyable for all of us than we anticipated.

Museum of London

The Museum of London is a must-see for any visitor to or resident of London. It is incredible how much you can find out about a city you have been in most of your life. I have friends who have been to London many times and thought they had seen everything until they saw this place.

Science Museum

After my visit on the Science Museum, I have come to realize that this amazing place isn’t only for kids. It can be a nice venue for adults and even grannies to enjoy. You could even bring your girlfriend here for a unique date. It has a lot to offer to everyone. Visiting the museum had inspired me about the world we live in.

The museum is divided into sections which include Brought to Life, The Cockroach Tour, The Atmosphere Gallery, Adults only and  the IMAX 3D Cinema.

National History Museum

The Natural History museum in London is one of the best natural history museums in all of Europe. I am definitely biased because I love both animals and history. The exhibits really show how different beings have changed over time; how they have changed the world and been altered themselves by varying conditions. It’s the nature geek in me, but I could spend days in the museum. I was so excited when I saw it was free so I could go back too.

London Transport Museum

We originally only went to the London Transport Museum because my husband is a car fanatic. I was not as interested, but when we got there, I couldn’t believe how much there was for everybody to see!

There was an exhibition about how public transport in London was affected by The Blitz, and I found it very interesting. I was surprised that I actually could enjoy something in a museum about vehicles.
