London Backpackers
Possibly the cheapest, safest hostel in London

Even though I felt safe, it was nice to know I could pay the lower rate and not have to worry (as much) about who might enter in the night.
Some complained that it wasn’t as close to downtown as possible, but I liked that we were in a neighborhood that closed at night and was mostly residential. There was a nice little park outside where you could actually use Wifi during the day, or just eat and get some air. And there were nice cafes and stores all around that weren’t as expensive as in the center of London. I could buy coffee and a magazine without throwing away everything I was trying to save by staying at the hostel.
The staff was not just friendly; they also were very down-to-earth with their recommendations, not picking overly touristy spots. They told me they even help people get jobs and visas, so that would be great for someone who came alone and needed a little support. London Backpackers is a nice, safe place to stay where you can save a ton of money that you can certainly spend in the rest of the city.
