When you go to a café for a good coffee drink, comfort and atmosphere do matter. Most places focus either on speed and efficiency, or on their coffee beans and blends, but not necessarily on your comfort and schedule. Caffè Nero gives you a great combination of luxury, amazing coffee and espresso, and great service. In the traditional Italian style, there are wonderful hot and cold beverages that are not only deliciously caffeinated, but are also decadently rich and creamy.

Nothing really compares to Starbucks Coffee. There’s a reason their stores are everywhere. They have their system down to a science, and they have a blend for every taste. Even their teas are exceptional. They took off in the States right away, because everyone knows that people in the U.S. weren’t exactly coffee experts. And they didn’t always have the blends that Europe has always had in coffee shops around all of their major cities.

There are a couple Café Flo locations about London, of which I have been to two. Superficially, they are totally different and completely unique brasseries. Their décor is distinct, no similar art, no obviously endorsed product, artist or motif. The only thing that is the same, is the high quality. They are busy little cafes all day and night, especially with sidewalk seating in pleasant weather.

A truly diverse place, this is the perfect setting for either a romantic meal for two, or a pleasant family dining experience. It gives the feel of a typical French bistro, yet it caters to anyone. The items on the menu are reasonably priced, and there is food available for every taste and appetite.

What I like about Bar Italia is that you really feel like you could be anywhere in Europe when you walk in. It’s a little piece of the continent that makes me feel like I am not in the crazy center of London for a few minutes. Or a few hours, they are always open and there are always people there and a fresh and friendly, but not over exuberant, staff.
